The Human Rights Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to protect and promote human rights on a global level. The organization provides direct support to local groups and organizations that defend human rights, with a particular focus on marginalized and vulnerable population groups. The Human Rights Fund has identified three thematic areas that are central to their work: combating impunity, discrimination and protection of human rights defenders.
The fund supports local human rights organizations in seven priority countries, and offers services such as network building, capacity development and strategic cooperation. Through the program Oslo Breathing Space City, they work specifically to support human rights defenders, and thus contribute to strengthening the work for human rights internationally.
