The Sagene Volunteer Center is an inclusive meeting place for the local population in Oslo. The organization offers a wide range of free services, such as practical help, accompaniment to health services, shopping help, homework help and visiting services. This makes it easier for residents to get the support they need in their everyday lives.
In addition to the practical services, Sagene Frivilligsentral arranges a number of free and low-threshold activities, courses and events. These activities are open to everyone, regardless of living situation, economy, ethnicity, functional ability, outlook on life, language, orientation, age and political affiliation. The volunteer center also has BUA, which offers free lending of leisure and sports equipment, as well as BUA AKTIV, which promotes participation in various activities. This helps to strengthen the community and commitment among the residents.
