Voksenenga Nærmiljøhage is a voluntary organization in Oslo that offers cooperative gardens and plots for growing vegetables, herbs, flowers, fruit and berries. The organization has a strong focus on organic farming and sustainability, which is reflected in the activities they offer. Here, both children and adults can participate in fun and educational activities that promote an understanding of food production and nature.
The community garden also has an outdoor space that includes a kitchen, fire pit and a wood-fired pizza oven, which gives members the opportunity to gather and enjoy the results of their work. In addition, Voksenenga Nærmiljøhage plans to move to a larger and sunny area in 2025/2026, which will provide space for over 100 parcels and larger cooperative land. This will help to expand the opportunities for members and strengthen the community around gardening and sustainable food production.
