NMS Gjenbruk Randaberg is part of a chain of second-hand stores that focus on reuse and sustainability. The store offers a varied selection of used clothing, furniture, books, lamps, mirrors and pictures. It also sells Knausen candles, which are made from melted candle scraps. The store receives whole and clean items free of charge, which contributes to a wide range of items available to customers.
The operation of NMS Gjenbruk Randaberg involves around 2,500 volunteers who contribute to the store's activities. The profits from sales go to NMS' work, which includes initiatives to share faith in Jesus, fight poverty and injustice. The store also offers the opportunity to become a volunteer, which gives the local community a chance to get involved in the recycling work.
