Three zones: the centre, south along Lagårdsveien and the districts furthest out
- City centre: Øvre Holmegate, Pedersgata and Verksgata by Fiskepiren lie within 600 metres of each other.
- Stokka is about one kilometre west of the centre.
- Southwards: Lagårdsveien, Hillevåg, Langflåtveien and Breidablikkveien, two to just over four kilometres from the centre.
- Furthest out: Madla just under four kilometres to the south-west, Gausel seven and Forus nine kilometres to the south.
The pizzerias on this page lie along a line of nine kilometres, from Fiskepiren in the north to Forus in the south, with Stokka and Madla as detours to the west. The groups follow the distance from the centre: first what you can reach on foot from the harbour, then the places along the road south, and finally the districts where most people arrive by car or bus.
The distances are measured in a straight line between the points on the map. In the centre you walk between Øvre Holmegate, Pedersgata and Verksgata in a few minutes, and Stokka is about one kilometre away. Going south, Lagårdsveien comes after about two kilometres and Hillevåg after two and a half, while Langflåtveien and Breidablikkveien are around four kilometres from the centre. At Madla the pizzeria is inside the shopping centre, on the upper level (2. etasje) according to the centre website.
This page is a selection. In the directory the pizzerias of the city are listed under Pizzerias, and some of the places here are filed under Restaurants. More about the city is on the Stavanger page, and guides to other places to eat are under Top places to eat in Norway.
Table, pick-up or delivery: what the cards say
- Tables: two restaurants in the centre take table bookings.
- Pick-up: the places at Hillevåg, Stokka and Forus are marked as takeaway on the card.
- Delivery: several state it on the card, and at Madla it goes through Wolt and Foodora.
- Order online or in an app, and the pizza is ready when you arrive.
If you want to sit down, the centre is the easiest choice. The restaurant in Pedersgata has its own button for table booking on its website, and the restaurant in Øvre Holmegate takes reservations according to its card, which is handy for a larger party. At Madla you eat in the premises in the shopping centre or take the pizza with you.
Three of the places are made for pick-up: on the cards for Hillevåg, Stokka and Forus the word takeaway stands in the heading. According to the cards, the chain pizzerias at Hillevåg, by Fiskepiren and in Øvre Holmegate take orders online or in an app, and the pizzerias in Langflåtveien and Lagårdsveien have their own ordering pages. The restaurant in Pedersgata also has a button for takeaway.
Delivery is handled in different ways. The cards for Hillevåg, Stokka and Gausel state delivery, while the pizzeria at Madla delivers through Wolt and Foodora. How far they deliver is not on the cards: you see it when you enter your address in the order. At Madla there is no phone number either, so there you order on the premises or in the apps.

You get pizza in the middle of the day where the doors open in the morning. Sunday is an ordinary pizza day here: all the cards have opening hours then too, and the pizzeria in the shopping centre at Madla states 11.00 to 21.30. The times apply to October 2026, so look at the website of the place on the day you are going.
The descriptions on the cards tell you what kind of pizza you get. In Langflåtveien Neapolitan pizza is baked in a wood-fired stone oven, with dough that has risen for 48 hours. At Stokka the pizza is baked in a stone oven, and according to the card the place has been at it since 2005. At Madla the pizza is oblong, made on sourdough and meant for one person, and at Gausel kebab, innbakt pizza (a folded, filled pizza), langos and shawarma are on the same menu.
