Reviews on NorgeGuide (norgeguide.com) help people choose places and companies. For them to be trustworthy, we moderate them by clear rules. This page sets out which reviews we publish, which we remove, and how to challenge a decision.

1.Who can leave reviews

A review is written by someone with real experience of the place or company: they went there, used the service or bought something. Reviews of your own company, of competitors and paid-for reviews are not published.

2. What we publish

  • Personal experience and impressions, including critical ones, as long as they are to the point.
  • Specifics: what was good, what was not, how the service went.
  • A rating on our scale together with the text.

3. What we do not publish and remove

  • Insults, threats, hate speech and swearing aimed at people.
  • Third parties' personal data: phone numbers, addresses, staff surnames without reason.
  • Spam, advertising, links to other sites, repeated text.
  • Knowingly false statements and defamation.
  • Reviews unrelated to the place or company.
  • Text copied from other sources.

4. How the check works

New reviews are checked by a moderator before publication or shortly after. We may ask you to add details of the experience. The check usually takes up to a few working days.

5. Complaining about a review

If a company or a visitor thinks a review is unfair or false, write to [email protected]. Give the link to the page and what is disputed. We handle the complaint, ask for evidence if needed, and decide: keep, correct or remove.

6. Appeal

If you disagree with our decision on a complaint, you can ask for a second review in the same e-mail. The decision after the second review is final on our side. This does not take away your right to approach the supervisory authorities or the courts under Norwegian law.

7. Paid placement and reviews

Paid services and advertising do not affect reviews. We do not remove honest negative reviews for payment, and we do not publish positive ones for payment.
