Vesterøy Menighetsbarnehage is located in Sandefjord, in Vestfold county, and is housed in "Huvik gård", a former vicarage. The kindergarten has access to a large nature and garden plot, as well as nearby forest areas, which gives the children opportunities for varied play and exploration in scenic surroundings. With a capacity of approximately 40 children aged 1-6 years, the kindergarten focuses on creating a safe and inclusive environment for both children, parents and staff.
The kindergarten has a vision of "learning and lifting together", and the values of responsibility, respect, clarity, trust and inclusion are central to their work. Vesterøy Menighetsbarnehage emphasizes giving both children and adults opportunities for coping in everyday life. In addition to daily operations, the kindergarten participates in various activities such as Easter walks and family services in Vesterøy Church, as well as specially arranged services in connection with Christmas and Pentecost. The kindergarten is open to visits from interested families.
