Gjekstad and Østerøya Idrettsforening is a sports association that offers an open and inclusive membership, with a focus on development in sports. The association has a strong focus on football and has established a collaboration with Helgerød to strengthen the girls' initiative. In addition to football activities, they have an activity group for people with mental disabilities, who are looking for volunteers and coaches to support this group.
The clubhouse can be rented, and the association has recently gained a new general sponsor, Seim Maskin. A new coaching team for the A-team has also been established, which will help to raise the quality of the training. From the 2025 season, they will enter into an equipment agreement with Select Sport Norge, which will help to ensure the quality of the equipment used by the members.
