The Norwegian Mission Society (NMS) Østfold is an independent organization within the Church of Norway, established in 1842 in Stavanger. The organization consists of associations, groups and individual members, and functions as a tool for realizing the church's mission. NMS focuses on combating injustice and eradicating poverty through various projects, both nationally and internationally.
In addition to its missionary work, NMS runs thrift stores that support its projects. The organization also offers volunteer opportunities for involvement, and organizes mission fairs and cultural events. The work is carried out by both employees and volunteers, and NMS offers resources for congregational agreements and fellowship, with the goal of creating positive change in society.
