Våland Haugen kindergarten is one of four kindergartens that offer unique buildings and traditions. The kindergarten is located in scenic surroundings in Mosvannsparken, which gives children the opportunity to explore nature. Great emphasis is placed on community and cooperation among the children, which is a central part of the kindergarten's pedagogical approach.
The kindergarten is part of Stavangerbarnehagen, which has a strategy for quality up to 2030. This includes the creation of interdisciplinary kindergarten teams, which aim to provide better follow-up for the children. To ensure structured operations, the kindergarten also has planning days and specific holiday rules.
