The Norwegian Church in Stavanger is part of the Norwegian Church and functions as a church council. The church offers a range of services, including baptisms, confirmations, weddings and funerals. In addition, evening mass and other religious gatherings are arranged, which provide opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth.
The church has a special focus on conversations about confirmation, both for young people and adults, and also has a separate section for Sami church life. The Norwegian Church emphasizes predictable funding in order to be able to build and maintain community. The church has also expressed an apology to queers and is actively working for changes in this regard. It also offers information and resources about Christian faith and church life, which can be useful for both parishioners and other interested parties.
