The Stavanger Deaf Church is a congregation that focuses on creating a sign language community for the deaf. The church offers regular services that are adapted to the needs of the deaf, and has an inclusive environment for all members. In addition to services, the congregation arranges confirmations both in the Deaf Church and in local congregations, which gives young people the opportunity to participate in religious ceremonies in a way that is adapted to them.
The congregation also has an active program for young people, including get-to-know-you camps that promote community and friendship. The Deaf Church publishes Døves Blad, which provides information and news relevant to members, as well as a calendar that provides an overview of activities in Stavanger and Haugesund. This helps to keep members informed and engaged in the life of the congregation.
