Rogaland Art is an art center that focuses on art in public spaces, and offers a varied program of exhibitions and events. The center has a special project called "Sauene i Klubbgata", which aims to promote local artistry. In addition to exhibitions, Rogaland Art offers artist apartments for artists in residence, where they can develop their projects and methods.
The center emphasizes professional development and engagement through lectures, courses and artist talks, which give the public the opportunity to learn more about the artists' work and processes. Rogaland Art also collaborates with artist groups to realize public artworks, and has a regional grant call for artists, which supports the development of visual arts in the region. Rogaland Kunstsenter, which is part of this network, functions as an independent, artist-run institution for the dissemination of visual arts.
