Emmaus Volunteer Center is located in Stavanger and has a history connected to the Waisenhuset orphanage, as the building has recently been renovated. The center functions as an activity center for all age groups, with a special focus on children, young people and families. It is designed to be an inclusive arena where various activities can take place, and it is open to new initiatives and voluntary contributions from private individuals.
The Volunteer Center offers free premises to organizations that want to hold meetings and activities. The goal is that all services should be free of charge, which helps to promote community and cooperation. There are many affiliated organizations that have regular services and meetings, and the center facilitates joint gatherings and cooperation between these organizations. Emmaus Volunteer Center thus functions as an important meeting place for the local community.
