The Stavanger & Sandnes Masonry Association was founded in 1994 through the merger of two previously separate associations. This merger marked an important milestone for the masons in the region, which had previously been represented by separate associations.
Historically, the traditions of masons in Sandnes can be traced back to the early 1990s, when several names from the masons' community were registered. In 1939, the Sandnes Masonry Association was established, and the association was affiliated with the Norwegian Masons' Land Association in the same year. This helped to strengthen the professional community and cooperation among masons in the area.
