The Vardesenteret at SUS is an organization that offers a free meeting place for people affected by cancer. There are also peers available here who can provide support and advice to those who need it.
In addition to being a meeting place, the Vardesenteret arranges free legal aid for those in need of legal assistance. A cancer coordinator from the municipality is present monthly to provide guidance and information. The Vardesenteret collaborates with the Norwegian Cancer Society, and has a strong focus on community and support for those facing demanding life situations.
