Paahjul Stavanger is a bicycle repair service operating in collaboration with Kirkens Bymisjon and HitecVision. The workshop offers job training for people who are outside the regular job market, and aims to give these individuals the opportunity to develop skills and experience in bicycle repair.
The business is an example of social entrepreneurship, where the focus is on solving social challenges through business methods. According to definitions in the field, social entrepreneurship is about recognizing and addressing social problems, where success is judged by the positive impact on society rather than financial profit. Paahjul Stavanger thus contributes to both bicycle repair and social development.
