Svolvær Kirkegårds Velforening is an organization whose main task is to take care of the cemetery in Svolvær. The association also functions as a resource for the Lofoten parish, and helps to preserve and disseminate historical references related to Svolvær Church. This includes cooperation with the Svolvær Historielag, which works to preserve local history.
In addition to maintaining and preserving the cemetery, the association is active in the local community. It engages in activities together with the Svolvær Innbyggerforening, and arranges various cultural and religious events, such as church services and concerts. This helps to strengthen the community and create an arena for interaction among the residents.
