The Guys in the Woods is an outdoor recreation area in Tromsø, known for its beautiful location in a fairy tale forest. The area is designed for hikers and offers a network of marked ski and hiking trails, including a lighted trail. This makes it easy for visitors to explore nature, regardless of the season.
An open lavvo is available for hikers for much of the year, and free firewood is provided for visitors. In addition, there is a toboggan run that is specially adapted for kindergartens and school classes, making the area a popular choice for families. On Sundays, campfire coffee and lavvo buns are served, which adds an extra dimension to the visit.
The area is maintained by a non-profit organization consisting of retired people, who help to preserve and improve the facilities. The Guys in the Woods thus offers a variety of activities and experiences for both local residents and visitors.
