Nordix Data AS is based in Tromsø and operates as an internet service provider specializing in the development and rental of commercial real estate. The company has over 30 years of experience in IT operations and fiber network development, and also offers concept development and consulting services. Nordix Data AS is planning a co-location data center in the north, which will take advantage of the Arctic climate for natural cooling.
The company is a subsidiary of Telenor Norge AS and is responsible for fiber development for Telenor, as well as operation and maintenance of its own fiber network. Nordix Data AS operates in a politically stable region with proximity to the upcoming Arctic fiber cable to Asia. With low electricity prices in the region, which are among the most affordable in Europe, and access to green energy from hydroelectric power and surplus power, the company is well positioned for future growth in infrastructure development.
