The Geology Tour and the construction site for the new Tromsø University Museum are part of the university's commitment to promoting research and education in geology and related fields. The museum will be an important resource for both students and researchers, and will contribute to increasing the understanding of geological processes and natural history in the region.
The construction project is part of the university's development plans, which aim to create modern facilities for teaching and research. The new museum will include exhibition areas, laboratories and teaching rooms, and will be accessible to the public. The Geology Tour gives visitors the opportunity to learn more about geological phenomena and the university's research in the field.
The project is a collaboration between different academic communities at the university, and the emphasis is on sustainable solutions in the construction process. The new museum will not only strengthen the university's profile, but also help to increase interest in geology among the general public.
