Håndverkeren was founded on 21 February 1847 and since then has been an important meeting point for craftsmen in central Norway. Established with a focus on community and collaboration, the place has a long history and tradition in craftsmanship. The craftsman contributes to preserving craft knowledge and culture, which makes him an important player in the local community.
In addition to functioning as a bar, Håndverkeren offers the rental of premises for various events. Activities and events are also organized for the members, which promote networking and cooperation among craftsmen. This makes Håndverkeren a place where both tradition and modern craftsmanship can meet and develop.
