KelpNest is a Trondheim-based company that specializes in developing innovative solutions for the aquaculture industry. The company focuses on improving environmental conditions in open salmon cages by using natural kelp as an alternative to plastic kelp. This initiative is part of a larger strategy to reduce plastic pollution and promote sustainable methods in seafood production.
The unique cleaner fish shelter developed by KelpNest aims to create a more natural and efficient environment for cleaner fish, which play an important role in salmon farming. By using kelp, which is a natural resource, the company wants to contribute to a more sustainable future for aquaculture. KelpNest works to combine technology and nature to improve both animal welfare and environmental conditions in the aquaculture industry.
