Edge Furniture is a sole proprietorship run by Helge Lysaker, which focuses on the production of homemade furniture. The company operates on a hobby basis and is characterized by a strong enthusiasm for cabinetmaking and woodworking. Helge Lysaker has extensive experience as a hobby carpenter, but has no formal vocational training. This provides a unique approach to furniture production, where the emphasis is on creativity and personal expression.
The business aims to inspire others to make their own furniture, which can contribute to a more natural relationship with both the production process and the materials used. Edge Furniture prioritizes the use of natural materials from the local area, which emphasizes a sustainable approach to craftsmanship. Through his work, Lysaker wants to preserve important craft traditions and encourage self-sufficiency in useful items.
