Tare Cup is a football tournament that takes place in Sparebanken Møre Arena in Ålesund. The event is open to both girls and boys, and has previously been known as Tare Jentefestival and Tare Cup. The tournament has a high participation, with 241 teams for girls and 302 teams for boys in 2024. It is held in November and aims to give the teams plenty of playing time.
The tournament collaborates with local clubs such as AaFK Fortuna, Hødd and Sunnmøre Football Circle, which contributes to a varied and inclusive football environment. For the girls, participation is free, which makes it easier for more teams to participate. The Tare Cup encourages teams to register early to secure a place in the tournament, which has become an important event in the football calendar for young players.
