Where can you get your phone repaired in Oslo, and what does it cost?
Where to repair your phone, example prices for screens and batteries, and your rights.
Short answer
In Oslo, Elkjøp stores such as Glasmagasinet repair phones, and Elkjøp's Apple price list puts a new screen for an iPhone 16 at NOK 4,582. A new battery for the same model costs NOK 1,238, and a screen for an iPhone 13 costs NOK 4,422. Eplehuset, an Apple Premium Partner, says an iPhone screen replacement takes about 60 minutes.
Why
- Elkjøp is a certified Apple repairer that uses only original parts, and several of its stores, including Glasmagasinet, can repair Apple products within a very short time.
- Elkjøp's list shows NOK 3,958 for a screen on an iPhone 16e and NOK 5,613 on an iPhone 17, with batteries at NOK 1,238 for both, and the prices are shown without shipping costs.
- Forbrukerrådet says mobile phones have a five-year complaint period, and that you must first take a complaint up with the seller.
Details
Elkjøp's repair service covers mobile phones as well as PCs and tablets, and you can book a repair online or in a store. If the fault is covered by the warranty or your complaint rights, or if you choose to scrap the phone instead, Elkjøp charges no fee for the fault-finding. Older models such as the iPhone 6 must be sent to Apple, which takes about 14 days.
Tip
Ask for a price before the repair starts, since the final price depends on the fault: Apple says it must inspect the phone to give a personal estimate.
What may differ
The prices above are Elkjøp's prices for iPhones. Other brands and independent repair shops set their own prices.
