Where can you buy pet food and supplies in Norway?
Pet shop chains, online shops and other places that sell pet food.
Short answer
Pet food and supplies are sold in specialist pet shops, online and in grocery stores, and the largest pet shop chains are Musti, Pets, Buddy, Dogman and PetXL. Konkurransetilsynet estimated in 2026 that Norway has about 250 pet shops, around 100 of them run by Musti. Large online shops include Zooplus.no, VetZoo and Dyrekassen.no.
Why
- In a 2026 decision, Konkurransetilsynet (the Norwegian Competition Authority) put the five largest chains with physical shops at Musti (about 100 shops), Pets (about 40), Buddy (about 25), Dogman (about 20) and PetXL (about 15).
- The same decision estimates that Norway has between 50 and 100 purely online pet shops, the largest being Zooplus.no, VetZoo, Dyrekassen.no and Dyrebutikken.no.
- Musti says its online shop has more than 5,000 products, with free shipping on orders over NOK 599 and delivery in 2–5 working days to your door or a pickup point.
Details
In the same case, Musti pointed out that grocery stores sell pet food and that chains such as Plantasjen, Biltema, Obs Bygg, Europris and Felleskjøpet also sell pet products. Konkurransetilsynet found that specialist pet shops differ from these in range, quality and services. Some vet clinics also have a shop, such as Evidensia Oslo Dyresykehus.
Tip
Use the store finder on the chain's own website before you go: Musti and Buddy list their shops online, and Buddy also offers click and collect.
