Why

  1. Den Norske Opera & Ballett plays La bohème on its main stage from 31 October 2026 to 16 January 2027 at NOK 195–995, and standing and listening places cost NOK 195 at most performances.
  2. At Oslo Nye Teater, It's Britney, Bitch! on the main stage costs NOK 520–590 at ordinary price, NOK 325–375 for students and NOK 275 for under-26s, ticket fee included.
  3. Nationaltheatret's membership costs NOK 400 a year and gives 20 per cent off ordinary-price tickets, for up to two tickets per production.

Details

At the Opera, children up to 16 and people under 30 get 50 per cent off and seniors from 67 get 20 per cent, but the NOK 195 tickets on the main stage are not discounted. Discounts are calculated before the Opera's NOK 30 ticket fee. Det Norske Teatret gives 30 per cent off with its Teaterpakka when you buy three or more of its autumn 2026 productions in one purchase.

Tip

If you are under 30, choose the Opera's youth price, which gives 50 per cent off. The NOK 195 places on the main stage are already the cheapest and get no further discount.

What may differ

Age limits for youth prices differ between theatres: the Opera's 50 per cent discount is for everyone under 30, while Oslo Nye's UNG price is for people under 26.
