Is it windy in Oslo?
Measured wind in Oslo compared with Bergen and Lofoten, and when gusts are strongest.
Short answer

Over the same period Bergen recorded a gust of 36.6 m/s and Svolvær airport in Lofoten 39.2 m/s. Short spells of strong wind still happen in Eastern Norway.
Why

- In the same period the Bergen (Florida) station measured 22.3 m/s and a gust of 36.6 m/s, and Svolvær airport 24.1 m/s and a gust of 39.2 m/s.
- Visit Norway describes the coast of Fjord Norway as having lots of rain and wind, while on the south coast a cool sea breeze is common.
