Kirkens Bymisjon Fredrikstad is a non-profit organization that works to promote respect, justice and care in the local community. The organization is known for its open and inclusive environment, where everyone is welcome. Through various initiatives, they offer meals that create community, as well as activities for children, young people and families. This helps to strengthen ties in the local community and create safe meeting places.
An important part of Kirkens Bymisjon's work is the focus on work inclusion and substance abuse care. They offer handmade products made by people who are outside of working life, which gives these individuals the opportunity to participate in the community. In addition, they engage volunteers who want to help help others, and they actively work with rights work for vulnerable groups. The organization also organizes various activities, including the annual Christmas party, known as Norway's warmest Christmas party, which brings people together in an inclusive celebration.
