Vake church resource center against violence and sexual abuse is a diaconal and cross-denominational competence center in Oslo. The center offers help to people of all genders who have been subjected to sexual abuse, as well as support to their next of kin. Through various programs and activities, the center focuses on spiritual care and guidance, and facilitates the processing of trauma.
The center develops resources such as the booklets and mapping tools, which are available to both staff and volunteers in church contexts. Vake also organizes the November Conference, which takes up relevant topics, and plans a Saturday meeting for men in the autumn of 2025. In addition, courses and lectures are offered to increase competence around violence and sexual abuse, in collaboration with organizations such as Sendt bort and Missionssambandet.
