Lambertseter-Nordstrand Voluntary Center has been active since 1991 and offers humanitarian and practical services to the residents of the area. The organization acts as a bridge between voluntary helpers and people who need assistance. The services provided are free of charge and include, among other things, escort services and help with errands, which help to support individuals, especially the elderly, in everyday life.
In addition to the practical services, the volunteering center focuses on arranging social and cultural activities that promote community and commitment among the residents. The organization recruits hundreds of volunteers each year, who contribute to mission-based one-to-one services. This commitment is an important part of the offer, and it gives both volunteers and recipients the opportunity to bond and create meaningful relationships.
