The Norwegian Municipal Technical Association (NKF) is a non-profit organization that represents the community builders of the municipalities in Norway. The association's aim is to strengthen the competence and cooperation among municipal players in areas such as planning, construction, geodata, property, roads, parks and infrastructure. NKF offers a platform for professional development through courses and conferences, which gives members the opportunity to exchange experiences and build networks with colleagues from all over the country.
One of the association's services is NKF Prosjekthjelper Bygg, which assists municipalities with the preparation of technical requirements specifications. In addition, NKF has developed a calculation module that is available to politicians, and which should contribute to a better decision-making basis in municipal matters. Through its activities, NKF focuses on community building and the development of competence that is relevant for municipal services and infrastructure projects.
