Verdens Barn is a voluntary organization with a long tradition in post-adoption work. The organization previously carried out adoption activities, but has now discontinued this part of its activities. Instead, Verdens Barn focuses on offering support and resources to adoptees and their families, with particular emphasis on conversational support for people over 16 years of age.
In addition to conversation support, Verdens Barn also has offers related to family trips and assistance in searching for biological family, although these services are no longer in active operation. Bufetat region east has taken over responsibility for competence services for adoptees, and offers courses for adoptive parents. The organization works to ensure that adoptees and their families receive the necessary support and information they need in the post-adoption process.
