Storhaug Volunteer Centre is an institution with over 30 years of experience in promoting volunteering and community. The centre serves as an important meeting place for the neighbourhood, with an area known as Pølsesvingen, where residents can gather for various activities and events. It also offers language training and lectures, as well as support for citizen initiatives, which contributes to an active and engaged local community.
Located in the modern Lervig quarter, the volunteer centre has large windows that provide a bright and welcoming environment. The centre is open to everyone, regardless of age, and invites both volunteers and public actors to participate in activities and contribute good ideas. This makes Storhaug Volunteer Centre a key player in the work of building community and strengthening ties between the residents of Stavanger.
