ION Racing UiS is a student union at the University of Stavanger that participates in the Formula Student competition. This competition involves more than 130 teams from over 30 countries, where each team develops and builds its own Formula 1-inspired racing car. Through the project, students have the opportunity to apply engineering theory in practice, which provides valuable experience in engineering.
The union focuses on collaboration between students from different disciplines, which promotes interdisciplinary learning and innovation. Participants also learn from mistakes and challenges they encounter along the way, which contributes to personal and professional development. ION Racing UiS aims to inspire the next generation of engineers by providing a platform for practical experience and competence enhancement.
