Adult education in Tromsø offers primary and secondary education for adults, with a particular focus on Norwegian language and social studies. The school also has special education and speech therapy for those who need extra support. In addition to traditional teaching, an Erasmus+ project has been developed that aims to improve work-oriented language learning, which can be useful for participants who want to strengthen their language skills in a work context.
The school has seen an increase in student numbers in recent years, which may indicate a growing interest in adult education. Adult education in Tromsø also offers prior learning assessment, which gives adults the opportunity to have their previous experiences and knowledge assessed. To support students in their language training, the school is looking for volunteer conversation partners, and a diversity advisor is available to provide additional support to participants.
