Sørmarka Arena Barnehage is part of an inclusive community that includes five kindergartens in Stavanger, including Vannassen, Tyrihans, Hillevåg and Auglend. The kindergarten emphasizes the best interests of the child, focusing on safety, belonging and well-being. This is reflected in their approach to learning and development, where they work to create an environment where all children can feel welcome and valued.
In addition to a strong focus on quality, Sørmarka Arena Barnehage has implemented a strategy for Stavangerbarnehagen towards 2030. The kindergarten uses multidisciplinary teams to promote collaboration and support among staff, which contributes to a holistic approach to children's development. Parental cooperation is also an important part of the kindergarten's work, with active parent associations and committees that involve families in the kindergarten's activities and decisions.
