Norwegian People's Aid Sanitet Trondheim is a voluntary organization whose aim is to contribute to social engagement and solidarity. The organization has a network of volunteers across the country who take part in various activities, including first aid and rescue services. Through their work, they focus on humanitarian cooperation in approximately 35 countries, as well as demining and disarmament to protect civilians from explosive hazards.
As a democratic member organisation, Norsk Folkehjelp Sanitet Trondheim also offers resources and membership courses for shop stewards. The organization engages in solidarity work and has its own group, Solidarity Youth, which works with social political engagement. In addition, they are part of the trade union's humanitarian solidarity organisation, which underlines their commitment to promoting solidarity and support in local communities and internationally.
