Gamle Matsentralen Trondheim is a non-profit organization that works to reduce food waste and contribute to sustainable food distribution. The organization collects surplus food from various actors, such as shops and producers, and distributes this to those in need in the local community. Through their work, they help to support vulnerable groups and promote social inclusion.
In addition to food distribution, Gamle Matsentralen Trondheim focuses on raising awareness of food waste and sustainability. They arrange various activities and collaborations with schools, organizations and volunteers to inform about the importance of responsible food consumption. The organization is part of a larger network of food centers in Norway, which work towards the common goal of reducing food waste and helping those who need it most.
