Are bed linen and towels included when you rent a cabin in Norway?
Linen, towels and what to pack for rented and DNT cabins.
Short answer
Bed linen and towels are not always included: with Novasol they are either part of the price or ordered 5 days before arrival, otherwise you bring your own. At DNT cabins, duvets and pillows are provided, but you bring a sleeping bag liner or your own bed linen.
Why
- Novasol states that towels, bed linen and tea towels can be included in the price or bought before arrival with 5 days' notice.
- If you do not buy bed linen and towels from Novasol, you must bring your own.
- DNT says you must bring and use either a sleeping bag liner or your own bed linen at its cabins.
Details
Check the listing or booking confirmation for the words sengetøy (bed linen) and håndklær (towels), and see whether they are included or an extra. A Novasol booking marked all-inclusive covers bed linen, final cleaning and utility costs. At DNT self-service cabins the bunks have duvets or blankets and pillows, and you put your liner or linen on top.
Tip
If the listing is unclear, pack a sleeping bag liner or a light set of sheets and a towel: it covers you at DNT cabins and in rentals without linen.
What may differ
Private owners and other rental companies set their own terms, so the answer can differ from listing to listing.
