Where can I wash my clothes in Norway?
Laundromats in the cities, campsite laundries and how paying works.
Short answer
You can wash clothes at self-service laundromats in cities, such as Snarvask in Oslo and Clean Kokos in Tromsø, and in the laundry rooms at some campsites and holiday cabins. At Clean Kokos in Tromsø a wash or a drying cycle costs NOK 79, detergent included, and you pay there by card or in an app, with no booking needed.
Why
- Visit Oslo lists Snarvask in Thorvald Meyers gate 18, which offers both self-service and delivery, as well as Clean Kokos laundries at Sagene, Tøyen, Grünerløkka and Frogner.
- Visit Tromsø writes that Clean Kokos in Grønnegata 3B is open every day, including public holidays, from 06:00 to 22:00, and that you pay in the AppWash by Miele app or at the card terminal.
- Geiranger Camping takes bank cards for its laundry, and Svinøya Rorbuer in Svolvær has a self-service laundry room for a fee.
Details
At Clean Kokos in Tromsø you do not need a key or a booking, and detergent is added automatically. The laundromat is in a courtyard, entered from Peder Hansens gate. At campsites and other places to stay, ask at reception about prices and availability.
