Where can I park long-term in Oslo?
City car parks with day, week and four-week rates.
Short answer
For long-term parking, the City of Oslo's car parks outside Ring 3 in tariff group 2650 allow stays of up to four weeks at NOK 245 a week. Closer to the centre, group 2520 between Ring 1 and Ring 3 also allows four weeks, at NOK 395 a week. Most street spaces have a two-hour limit.
Why
- In tariff group 2650 outside Ring 3, the City of Oslo charges NOK 95 for 24 hours, NOK 245 for a week and NOK 884 for four weeks, while electric cars pay NOK 48, 123 and 442.
- Group 2520 between Ring 1 and Ring 3 has a four-week maximum and fee hours of 09:00–20:00, at NOK 395 a week or NOK 1,450 for four weeks.
- Street parking in tariff groups 2012, 2020, 2200 and 2600 has a maximum stay of two hours, so it does not work for leaving a car for days.
Details
You pay at the parking machine or in an app such as Bil i Oslo, EasyPark, ParkLink, Skanpark, Apcoa Flow or Flowbird. The city's parking map shows where the different spaces are. If you leave the car outside Ring 3, you can take the metro into town: the whole metro network is in Ruter's zone 1, where an adult single ticket costs NOK 46.
Tip
Before you leave the car for several days, check the tariff group number on the sign at the space, since only some groups allow stays of up to four weeks.
What may differ
Privately run car parks have their own terms and prices, which are not part of the city's tariffs, so read the sign at the entrance.
