How do I get home at night in Bergen?

Night light rail, last departures, night buses and taxis in Bergen.

Short answer

On the nights to Saturday and Sunday, Bergen's light rail line 1 runs from Byparken every 15 minutes between 01:15 and 04:00. On other nights the last departure from Byparken is around 01:00. After that, book a taxi, for example Bergen Taxi on 07000, which states a maximum price in advance when you know where you are going.

Why

  1. Skyss' timetable for light rail line 1, valid from 10 August 2026, lists night departures from Byparken every 15 minutes from 01:15 to 04:00 on the nights to Saturday and Sunday.
  2. The first light rail departure from Byparken in the morning is at 05:45, so there is a gap of almost two hours after the last night departure.
  3. Bergen Taxi takes bookings on 07000 through a customer centre it describes as always open, and in its 07000 app.

Details

Line 1 runs between Byparken in the city centre and Bergen Airport Flesland. An adult single ticket for one zone costs NOK 51, and tickets are not sold on board the light rail, so buy one in the Skyss app before you board. Skyss publishes separate night bus timetables for Askøy and Øygarden; for other areas, search your trip in the Skyss app or journey planner.

Tip

Check the last departure in the Skyss app before you go out, and buy the light rail ticket in the app before you reach the stop.

What may differ

Timetables change between seasons, and Skyss notes that passing times can differ somewhat from those printed, so check the journey planner on the day.
