How much is the Oslo toll ring?
2026 prices by fuel type, rush hour, discounts and the hour rule.
Short answer
In 2026 a petrol car or plug-in hybrid pays NOK 38 per crossing of the Oslo toll ring outside rush hour and NOK 47 in rush hour. Diesel cars pay NOK 42 and 50, electric cars NOK 21 and 26. An AutoPASS agreement gives 20 per cent off.
Why
- Fjellinjen, the company that collects tolls in Oslo, charges the same price at all its toll stations, and the current rates have applied since 1 January 2026.
- Rush hour rates apply between 06:30 and 09:00 and between 15:00 and 17:00, but not on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays or in July.
- Under the hour rule, every driver pays for only one crossing per hour in the Inner Ring and the Oslo Ring, and one per hour at the City Border.
Details
Tolls in Greater Oslo are collected on three rings: the City Border, the Oslo Ring and the Inner Ring. You pay in both directions on the Inner Ring and the Oslo Ring, but only when driving into Oslo at the City Border. With an AutoPASS agreement there is also a monthly cap of 60 paid crossings at the City Border and 120 in the Oslo Ring and Inner Ring.
Tip
Use the toll calculator (bompengekalkulator) on fjellinjen.no to check what your exact route costs before you drive.
What may differ
The prices above are for vehicles up to 3,500 kg. Electric vans in the N1 class pay nothing, and heavier vehicles have their own rates.
Common misconception
You need an AutoPASS tag to benefit from the hour rule in Oslo.
What actually happens
Since 1 September 2023 an AutoPASS agreement and tag are no longer required for the hour rule, which applies to all drivers. The 20 per cent discount and the monthly cap still require an agreement.
