Which mobile plan is best and cheapest in Norway?

How to compare plans, with example prices from Ice, Telia and Telenor.

Answered at: Checked at:

Short answer

No single plan is best for everyone, so Nkom recommends its approved price comparison services, which rank current plans by price and the data you need. Most plans include free calls and texts, so price and data decide. In October 2026 Ice charged NOK 199 a month for 5 GB and Telia NOK 299 for 3 GB.

Why

  1. Nkom points to tek.no, mobiltelefoni.no and mobilabonnement.no, and says an approved comparison service carries Nkom's approval mark and must be free to use.
  2. Ice lists 5 GB for NOK 199, 18 GB for NOK 299 and unlimited iceMax for NOK 399 a month, and all its plans include free calls, texts and MMS.
  3. Telia lists 3 GB for NOK 299, 15 GB for NOK 399 and unlimited data from NOK 499 a month, with an ordinary price of NOK 549.

Details

Smaller brands can use one of the big networks: Talkmore, for example, advertises full Telenor coverage. Neither Telenor nor Ice binds you to its mobile plans, so you can change if a plan does not suit you. Coverage differs between areas, so check the coverage map of the network the plan uses.

Tip

Look at how much data you have used in recent months and compare plans with a little more than that.

What may differ

Young people can pay less: Telenor gives customers under 30 NOK 100 a month off unlimited data, and Talkmore offers a 20 per cent discount to those under 30.
