Where does the airport bus (Flybussen) stop in Bergen, and how much does it cost?
Where Flybussen stops in Bergen, what tickets cost and the Bybanen alternative.
Short answer
Flybussen leaves Bergen Airport from stop A3 and has six city centre stops, including Festplassen, and an adult ticket costs NOK 189 online or NOK 220 on board. Visit Bergen lists these fares, while Flybussen shows its price when you search for a trip. Children up to 17 pay NOK 9.
Why
- Flybussen says the bus leaves from stop A3 just outside the main terminal, uses platform R at Bergen bus station towards the airport and terminal U from the airport, and has six stops in the city centre.
- Visit Bergen gives the adult fare as NOK 189 when bought online in advance and NOK 220 when bought on the bus, with a normal journey time of 30 minutes.
- Flybussen says all children up to and including 17 travel for NOK 9 and that its tickets are valid for 24 hours.
Details
Avinor names Festplassen and Bryggen among the central stops and puts the trip to Bergen bus station at about 20 minutes. Route FB51 to Åsane does not stop at Strandkaiterminalen, Komediebakken or Jektevikterminalen on the way out, so Flybussen advises Festplassen or Torget instead. Bybanen line 1 is the cheaper option at NOK 51 for an adult, with tickets from the machine on the platform or the Skyss Billett app.
Tip
Buy the Flybussen ticket online before you travel: Flybussen says the ticket bought in advance is the cheapest, and a return saves even more.
What may differ
Full-time students under 31 (online only), passengers over 67 and conscripts get discounts, but the amounts only appear in the booking search. A taxi takes about 18 minutes in normal traffic, and the driver must give you the price before the trip starts.
