Where does the Color Line ferry leave from in Oslo?
Address, transfer bus, tram and check-in times for the ferry from Oslo to Kiel.
Short answer
Color Line's ferry to Kiel leaves from its own terminal at Hjortneskaia, Filipstadveien 25 in Oslo, with a daily departure at 14:00. A Color Line transfer bus leaves Oslo Bus Terminal at 12:00 from platform 13, at normal Ruter fares. You can also take tram 13 to Skillebekk and walk about 10 minutes.
Why
- Color Line gives the address of its Oslo terminal as Filipstadveien 25, 0250 Oslo.
- Visit Oslo says the terminal has parking, luggage storage and a café.
- Foot passengers must check in no later than 60 minutes before departure, and passengers with a vehicle no later than 120 minutes before.
Details
The ships from Kiel arrive in Oslo at 10:00, and transfer buses leave Hjortneskaia for the city centre at 10:20 and 11:00. If there are seats left, you can also board the bus to the terminal at Jernbanetorget, platform A. Color Line's other Norwegian routes leave from Larvik, Kristiansand and Sandefjord, not from Oslo.
Tip
Do not mix it up with the Go Nordic Cruiseline terminal at Akershusstranda 31, which serves the ferry to Copenhagen.
