Can I park at the DFDS terminal in Oslo?

Where to park, how to pay and who sails from the terminal now.

Short answer

Yes, the Oslo terminal for the Copenhagen ferry at Akershusstranda 31 has parking for short and long stays, run by APCOA. DFDS no longer sails this route: Go Nordic Cruiseline took it over on 1 November 2024. Pay at the machine or in the APCOA app; the car park, København Terminalen, has 100 spaces.

Why

  1. Go Nordic Cruiseline states that its Oslo terminal has parking for both short and long-term stays, operated by APCOA.
  2. APCOA lists the car park København Terminalen at Vippetangkaia with 100 spaces, 4 of them for disabled drivers, open to drive in and out every day around the clock.
  3. Gotlandsbolaget took over the Copenhagen to Oslo route on 1 November 2024 and sails it as Go Nordic Cruiseline.

Details

You can pay in the APCOA FLOW app, also with Vipps, or at the machine when you leave; without automatic payment you can pay in the app within 48 hours after driving out. The terminal at Akershusstranda 31 is open 09:00–16:30 every day. The ships leave Oslo at 16:30 and arrive in Copenhagen at 10:00 the next morning.

Tip

APCOA's page does not list prices, so check the rate on the machine or in the app before you leave the car for several days.

What may differ

During a docking period in 2027 Go Nordic Cruiseline will only sail every other day from Copenhagen and Oslo, so check the sailing schedule before you plan how many days to park.
