Why

  1. Fjord1's route page states that the route has been suspended until further notice and that more information about the 2027 season will follow.
  2. Fjord1's 2026 price list gives NOK 420 for an adult, NOK 210 for a child and NOK 810 for a car up to 6 m including the driver.
  3. Fjord1 links the suspension to an Oslo District Court ruling in September 2026, which it is appealing, after the Ministry of Climate and Environment revoked a temporary exemption for its Geirangerfjord operations.

Details

Larger vehicles cost more: NOK 1,550 for 6–10 m, NOK 2,000 for 10–14 m and NOK 2,200 for 14–17 m, including the driver. A motorcycle cost NOK 650 and a bicycle NOK 100, children under 4 travelled free, and adults and children got 50 per cent off the return trip. Tickets could be booked online or paid by card at the quay or on board.
